The dog is injured, the dog owner is very necessary to master the first aid and nursing knowledge

The so-called unexpected weather, the next second what will happen no one knows, and for us to have a technical self-defense is always good, we are difficult to ensure that their dogs will not happen to any special circumstances, so some basic first aid knowledge for our dogs is very necessary for us to master, in case of accidents, we will be at a loss and let them lose their lives Hope.

Eye injury: when there is a foreign body into the eye, first use force to hold the dog, so that it can not move, and then gently open the upper and lower eyelids, when the foreign body is found, flush from above. Don't put it in too bright environment. If you can't see a doctor immediately, drop a few drops of medical olive oil into his eyes as a first aid measure. Prevent the dog from rubbing the injured eye with his paw or rubbing the eye with something. If the foreign body stabs into the eyeball, pull out the clip with round front end carefully. In case of stab injury, cover with gauze for direct compression hemostasis, and then bandage the wound. Then take him to the vet.

Ear injury: the dog's ear bleeding should be diagnosed and treated by veterinarian. Put the gauze on the head, then put the ear on the gauze, and then put the gauze on the wound. After stopping bleeding by hand, bandage should be used.

Mouth injury: when bleeding from the dog's mouth, the dog should first lower his head and sit down, overlapping many pieces of gauze, so the dog should be pressed to stop bleeding. When the tongue is injured, gently pull out the tongue or let the dog open its mouth and press the injured part for 5 minutes to stop bleeding.

Foreign body in throat: when swallowing foreign body by mistake, the dog will have dyspnea, asthma and other symptoms, and the well will constantly scratch his face with his feet. At this time, you should hold down the dog to keep it still, then wrap the cloth with your fingers, pull out the tongue, and use the flashlight to observe the depth of the throat. If you find any foreign body, use a round head clip to clip it out. If the infarction is serious and the above methods are ineffective, they must be sent to a doctor for treatment. If necessary, esophagotomy should be performed to remove the foreign body.

Poisoning: sometimes dogs can be poisoned by chemicals, especially when removing insects, you must take off the collar and rope, immerse the dog in warm water, or flush the whole body with a water pipe, so as to remove the poison from the body. If the dog is poisoned by eating rotten food or food sprinkled with pesticides and drinking the contaminated surface water in the pesticide spraying area by mistake, the dog shall be fed milk to dilute the venom, or the saline shall be fed to induce vomiting, and then the dog shall be sent to the doctor. Attention must be paid to the breathing state at any time, and artificial respiration should be carried out if necessary. If breathing stops due to shock, first aid should be given as soon as possible.

Spasm and cramp: when the spasm or cramp occurs or within 15 minutes after the end of spasm, do not touch the dog with hands or give drinks. Remove the surrounding dangerous substances and take down the rope tied to the dog's neck. After the spasm stops, observe the breathing condition of the dog, and then give artificial respiration as appropriate. At this time, it is necessary to determine the opening mode and compression mode according to the size of the dog. Listen to the sound carefully to judge whether the lung is discharging air. Repeat this action for one minute at a rate of 5 seconds.

Scald: scald treatment should be determined according to the degree. When the dog's body hair is scorched and the skin is red, cold compress with cold water for 10 minutes, and then use gauze to hold the affected part and send for medical treatment. If the body hair is completely burned off and the skin turns red, the shock state of the dog must be dealt with first, then the scalded part shall be wrapped with gauze carefully and sent to the doctor immediately. When dealing with shock, the dog should lie on its side first to make it quiet, open its mouth and pull out its tongue to keep breathing. If it is cold, blanket can be used, but it must not be too warm. In addition, breathing should be carefully observed.

Electric shock: when the dog is electrocuted, it is not allowed to hold or touch it in a panic. The power supply should be cut off first. When the power supply cannot be cut off, the dog's body should be moved with a bamboo pole or wooden board. When a dog is electrocuted, the corners of its mouth will turn red and fester, and a large amount of saliva will flow out and fall into a state of collapse. If necessary, take artificial respiration, measure body temperature and check scald, and send them to hospital after emergency treatment.

Fracture: never move the fracture site when the dog is fractured. After hemostasis and shock treatment, the two sides of the fracture can be clamped with a wooden strip for fixation, and then the gauze is wound on it. The length of the wood strip is longer than the two sides of the fracture, and then the dog is sent to a doctor immediately.

Shock: in case of emergency shock, the pet's pulse is weakened, the body temperature is lowered, the breathing is increased and the body is weak. First of all, clean the mouth, adjust the head below the heart, keep warm, and then ask the veterinarian for treatment.

Artificial respiration: when the dog stops breathing for 5 "6 minutes due to brain injury or other reasons, artificial respiration shall be carried out immediately. The method is to lay the dog on the side, stretch his head straight and pull out his tongue with his hand, remove the mucus or foreign matter in the mouth and throat with clean cloth or gauze, then press the chest with force and softness behind the elbow, stop for a few seconds after pressing, release for several seconds, and repeat it until breathing begins.

Local wounds should be cleaned before bandage. If there is local trauma, wash it with antibiotic solution, wipe it dry and wrap it with cotton wool or gauze. If there is fracture, try to align the two broken ends. Put hard paper or thin bamboo pieces outside the cotton wool or gauze, and then bundle them with gauze, and send them to the animal hospital as soon as possible. If the local swelling occurs after binding, the bandage should be loosened and re bandaged. When applying bandage, remember to make the bandage firm, but not too tight, so as not to hinder local blood circulation.

Disinfection of bite and stab wounds: bleeding must be stopped first, then the wound should be washed with water, and then disinfected with weak irritant iodine. Do not apply ointment before sending to the veterinary clinic for treatment.
