Methods of transplanting aloe into ramets

1. Lateral bud ramet

Generally, the roots of Aloe Vera grow new lateral buds when they grow to 10 cm in height. These lateral buds are used to propagate separately. Remove the original aloe plants with lateral buds to the soil and pots, select the large lateral buds with independent roots, and hold the growth point of the lateral buds and the original plant roots with your fingers. If it is a mature lateral bud, gently breaking it will separate the lateral bud from the original plant. If the lateral buds are still very small and their roots are not fully developed, do not use brute force to break them, otherwise the broken lateral buds have no roots and are not easy to survive.

2. Wound management

Separate the side buds of Aloe Vera to air for a while, so that the water in the wound will naturally volatilize, otherwise the wound will be easily infected and ill.

3. Plant in a new pot

Put the cultivated soil into the planting container, and the soil should not be much. It is mainly based on the size of flower pot. In order to facilitate the root growth, ash soil can be selected and a small amount of humus soil can be added. Then put the lateral buds into the planting container, comb the roots, stand with one hand, fill the roots with one hand, and cover the roots slowly.

Pay attention to the root system not to bend, fill up the soil slowly along the root system, so that the roots can be naturally expanded. Fill not too much, reach the stem of the plant, and the bottom of the leaves. When filling, pay attention to gently pressing the container edge with fingers, and do not press it directly on the root system of the plant, so that the soil is firm and does not damage the root system.

4. Maintenance after transplanting

After potted planting, aloe vera should be watered once in time, and then it can be watered after drying. If the conditions are suitable, the newly planted Aloe Vera will grow new roots in a week or so, and then maintain it normally. Soon it will grow up and continue to explode.

Tip: a few days before transplantation, and within a week after transplantation, it is best not to let aloe in the sun, so as to ensure the survival rate.
